This tour of the most representative zones of this beautiful port located in the southwest zone of the Mexican Pacific called Puerto Vallarta, begins in the area of Marina Vallarta heading towards the center of the port where you will be shown the most well known places, sculptures and attractions of this friendly city.
Upon arrival at the lighthouse located in the center of the boardwalk we will start with a relaxing walk to the most representative icons of the place, where we will receive an extensive explanation about the history and founding of the port, as well as the most important dates and points of our destination without missing the visit to the monument of Ignacio Luis Vallarta, who is the founder of this beautiful Mexican paradise that today we know as Puerto Vallarta, which is named in honor of the surname of the founder. We will also pass by the municipal presidency until we arrive at the Guadalupe Church, also known as the Church of the Crown due to its construction, of which we will also learn about its history and the process of its construction.
From there we will continue towards old Vallarta, passing by the Cuale River to observe some species of the most representative flora and fauna of the place until we arrive to one of the best silversmiths in the port called “Joyería Avilés” in case you wish to purchase some of the most beautiful pieces that you have ever seen in your life, Most of them are carved in the purest silver of our country, at the same time you will have the opportunity to know one of the most emblematic and fascinating stones of this region, known as fire opal, of which you can also learn about its origin and the way in which a perfect carving is made to give it the shape, design and color of its final result.
Then we head south, passing through the residential area of Conchas Chinas where you can admire exclusive areas and varied constructions with unique styles combined with its beaches and vegetation.
Later we will make a stop at one of the most famous viewpoints of the place where you will be amazed by a majestic panoramic view of the entire Bay, which is the 3rd largest in the Americas and is known as Banderas Bay, where we will stay about 10 minutes so that you have the opportunity to take pictures of this beautiful view if you wish.
Once the photo session at the viewpoint is finished, we will continue our tour up to the town known as Mismaloya and its surroundings, until we reach the restaurant “Las Cascadas” which specializes mainly in seafood dishes and is located on the banks of the river known as “Rio Los Horcones” which is one of those with greater water flow.
After lunch, we can enjoy the most exquisite artisan tequila made in this area by the Tequilera known as “El Bastón del Rey”, where we can delight our palate with the variety of flavors of the different tequilas made from 100% Blue Agave and in its various forms: Tequila Blanco, Reposado, Añejo and different liquors such as coffee, tangerine, almond and the already known Rompope!… which has also proved to be a real delight!
